Campus Tour and Going Full Time into Ministry
For the past few weeks I have been on a college campus tour in Texas with The Great News Network. We have had some of the most amazing open air meeting and one 2 one conversations. We even made the news. To see a full report, chech out the website Open Air Outreach
While down here in Texas, Jesse Morrell and I have decided to go into full time campus preaching. We are stepping out in faith, confident God will provide. College campus preaching is today's most important, yet neglected battlefield. I have posted a few audio clips so far of the preaching and witnessing from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. I am really excited about what God will do through us as we travel the road. Check out the clips in the audio section and be blessed.

Open Air in a Post Office
That's right... i did an open air inside a post office today.
the last time i did something even remotely as scary was in the back of a pickup truck at ebc 6. so we are standing in line today (me and my mom) waiting to mail a package and there is one guy working, one guy being waited on, and a lady in front of us also waiting in line. the lady in line strikes up a conversation with us about the things happening in iraq. i wasn't sure where she was coming from yet, so we just listened to her. she went on and on (i wasn't offended) as it was obviously taking a long time in line here. she mentioned something about iraq being a theocracy, then, the guy being waited on turns around and tells the lady (rudely, i might add), "hey! this is a post office."
she looks at him like, "SO... I can have a conversation if I want, I have the right to free speech"
by now, keep in mind a couple more people have stepped into the place, and the tension could be cut with a knife.
..."OK... SO YOU WANNA TALK ABOUT PREACHING... MAYBE I'LL PREACH RIGHT NOW. WHY DON'T WE JUST LOOK AT THE 10 COMMANDMENTS REAL QUICK..."
now this guy looked HOT! as he mumbled something about how he knows about iraq and he knows all about the ten commandmends... "SO ASK YOURSELF... WILL YOU BE INNOCENT OR GUILTY? THE NINTH COMMANDMENT SAYS... THE EIGHTH COMMANDMENT SAYS..."
now please keep in mind, i am not raising my voice or shouting in any way... but i was still shaking like a leaf... i couldn't even believe what was happening. meanwhile the lady behind us was getting all flustered saying,"I JUST CAME IN HERE TO BUY SOME STAMPS!" getting very impatient, as well as the original guy being waited on at the counter. then said i, "THE WORD OF GOD SAYS THAT PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE!" then the guy made a huge mistake, he took the name of MY LORD in vain... uh oh. as my mom piped up, "third commandment, third commandment" "THE THIRD COMMANDMENT SAYS... AND FOR EVERY IDLE WORD MAN SHALL GIVE AN ACCOUNT FOR IT, IN THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT. BLASPHEMY IS SERIOUS! AND LETS LOOK AT NUMBER SEVEN, ADULTERY, AND JESUS SAID..." and then i just began to quote scripture and things that had stuck in my mind...
"BE NOT DECEIVED, GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED, WHATEVER A MAN SOWS, THAT WILL HE REAP. SOW TO THE FLESH AND YOU WILL REAP CORRUPTION AND DEATH, SOW TO THE SPIRIT AND REAP LIFE, AND THAT EVERLASTING"
it was about this time that the whole place was electric and the one guy working behind the counter was like, "ok! everybody stop!". unfortunately his voice wasn't very commanding and i think i went on a little longer. the guy being waited on was finished with his bussiness and he stormed out of the place... i think i was hitting some raw nerves big time. when he left, it was as if demonic oppression had left with him. it was weird. all of a sudden, it was bussiness as usual.
saints, i had never been so scared in my life, i was shaking still after i left the place. it was a good thing there was a counter between me and the guy, and that i had a cast on, or he prolly would have mailed me... i mean nailed me. So... i guess i can now say that i "single handedly" turned a post office upside down. miles lewis

8/31/05 Added some new audios to the audio section by Josh Williamson and Jesse Morrell.
Made the main page a place for "what's new" and put my testimony under "AUTOBIO".
Sad news... On Friday 8/26/05, after witnessing I crashed my motorcycle. I was going through an intersection and a kid on a bicycle pulled right in front of me. I locked the front brake and went down. I broke my wrist when I hit the ground. I had some other scrapes and bruises but I was only going about 20 or so mph, so not too bad. I guess I will not be going to work for a while, so now I can get a taste of what doing evangelism full time will be like. I didn't get back from the hospital until 4 am. I would love to make the story more interesting but typing with one hand is annoying. If you could keep me in prayer I would thank God for you. I will need surgery to have the brake set correctly which will cost somewhere around $6,000 which I dont have and I have no insurance. I't will all work out in the end.
Planning the NYC mini bootcamp, or EBC911 as it is being dubbed, is going well. We will have somewhere between 30 to 40 seed sowers decending on the Big Apple preaching open air and witnessing for Jesus Christ. If anyone would still like to join us, just email me at miles@departmentofannoyance.com. miles
